News Plane Crashes — 14 November 2012

MT. COMFORT – A small plane had a nose gear collapse on the runway at Indianapolis Regional Airport (Mt. Comfort) on Wednesday shortly after noon. It happened as the plane was landing.

Crews were on the scene to remove the plane. No injuries were reported.

    For some reason I thought it was at the Airport on the west side. They should not have renamed this Airport just because of the stupid Super Bowl. I have known this Airport has Mount Comfort for the past 20 years and quite sure that everybody knew this airport by that name. Glad there was not any major injuries to the occupants. However, looks like they will need to replace the engine.

    Gear collapse is one thing. Bent prop means they may have lost the whole engine. Bummer.
