Weld County sheriff’s deputies said a plane ran out of gas and had to make an emergency landing near Hudson late in the morning April 25.
It happened shortly before noon near the area of Weld County Road 8 and Weld County Road 45, which is east of interstate 76.
Sheriff’s office spokesman Matt Turner said the plane was a two-seater Great Lakes biplane. Two people were on board. No one was injured, and the plane did not sustain damage.
The plane was en route from Centennial Airport to Platte Valley Airport in Kersey. Turner said the plane was to have been moved off the road before refueling. Once that takes, the plane will continue on its way to Platte Valley Airport.
