One of the victims in Wednesday morning’s emergency helicopter landing in the waters off Long Island was professional wrestler Shane McMahon, son of World Wrestling Entertainment boss Vince McMahon.
The fourth-generation wrestling scion described the moment he knew his helicopter was down for the count.
“It’s very unsettling when all the sudden you have something happen. You hear a bang and then that we’re gonna do an emergency landing in the water,” he told after his rescue.
He and pilot Mario Regtien of White Plains helicopter charter Awesome Flights LLC were rescued by kayakers and did not suffer any injuries.
