HARPSWELL, Maine — A small plane landed in a field off Harpswell Island Road in Harpswell Friday afternoon, according to the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office.
Officials say it was a Cessna plane that was owned by Penobscot Island Air. The plane took off from Rockland and was headed to Brunswick.
The pilot, who was the only person on board, reported that the engine had lost power. He managed to bring the plane down in a field. He was not injured.
The Federal Aviation Administration is investigating the incident.
