A pilot has survived a small plane crash in Orange County this afternoon.
FAA officials say a Starduster SA-100 amateur-built aircraft went down in a marsh near Route 17A and the New York State Thruway in Tuxedo around 1 p.m. today.
First responders say the pilot was shaken up, but was not injured. He was the only person aboard the plane.
Officials have not released the name of the pilot, but the FAA registry says the plane is registered to Dana M. Hague.
The pilot told first responders some type of engine trouble forced him to find a place to try and land.
