Two people were injured in a plane crash in Palmyra on Sunday afternoon.
One of the people inside the plane was trapped and finally, according to Palmyra officials.
Several people called the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Department around 2:45 p.m. to report a plane crashing in a wooded area just east of the Palmyra airport.
Emergency responders found the plane tipped on its nose in a wooded swamp.
The passengers were taken to a local hospital for treatment.
The Federal Aviation Administration is investigating the crash.
Authorities did not release the names or genders of the injured.

This is happening more frequently and there should be an investigation
