WASHINGTON — A plane returning to Tipton Airport in Fort Meade, Maryland, crashed in Annapolis Friday afternoon.
There were no reported injuries.
Maryland State police reported the pilot “lost engine RPMs and made an emergency landing.”
Anne Arundel County Fire Department responded to the ramp from Interstate 97 to Route 665, where the single-engine plane crashed at around 4:30 p.m.
The fire department evaluated a small fuel leak and initially said the plane was headed toward Lee Airport.
The passengers, an adult and two children, suffered no injuries, the fire department said.
